Want to bring a robust political conversation to your campus? You’re in luck. Billy Hallowell, a nationally-recognized journalist and advocate and Stephen Nichols, a cast member on MTV’s Real World have teamed up to create a new, interactive speaking tour tailored specifically to the 2008 campaign.
Instead of playing into the negative ideological divide that so flagrantly stifles the American political process, Billy and Stephen will present ideas and perspectives that flesh through the rhetoric and get down to the point. With an overall objective of inspiring their generation to get out and vote, Billy and Stephen plan to energize, inspire and leave audiences motivated to get involved in the political process. They will focus on getting American youth to make and be the change our nation so desperately needs.
In addition to their tour, Billy and Stephen have launched a national initiative called Static News that is working to inspire youth participation in the American political process (www.static-news.com). In addition to select speaking engagements, Billy and Stephen will peacefully debate and discuss via these avenues the issues so pertinent to America’s current sociopolitical landscape.
